WSU Vancouver Exhibit Features Paintings by Patricia Berg

VANCOUVER, Wash. — Vibrant paintings by Pacific Northwest artist Patricia Berg are on display now through the end of July at Washington State University Vancouver.

A collection of six pieces from Berg’s “Solar Sojourns” series is on display. Four of the acrylic paintings on canvas are displayed in the Student Services Building gallery and two are displayed in the WSU Vancouver boardroom.

“I enjoy the juxtapositions of certain colors and shapes together that depict action and movement caught in time,” Berg said. “Most of my paintings finalize visually into wave-like movements that may look like cosmic explosions but also feel like oceanic waves.”

Berg has held exhibitions in galleries across the United States. She holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute and a doctorate of jurisprudence from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College.

This exhibit will be on display through the end of July during building hours: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. To view pieces in the WSU Vancouver boardroom, contact staff at the Campus Executive Office.

Gallery exhibits at WSU Vancouver are coordinated by the Office of Campus Advancement. WSU Vancouver is located at 14204 NE Salmon Creek Ave. For more information, call (360) 546-9600.
