PULLMAN, Wash. — Fusion III, the third annual techno showcase, will feature 10 local and internationally known disc jockeys at the Washington State University Compton Union Building from 9:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. on April 26.
There will be performances in the main room in the CUB ballroom and the jungle room in Butch’s Den. Donald Glaude, a 15-year veteran DJ from Tacoma, will perform from 1 to 2:30 a.m. in the main room.
Other DJs performing in the main room include Faust and Shortee, Gene Lee, Jimmy Hoffa and Minus. DJ duo Faust and Shortee of Atlanta perform as tandem DJs on turntables. Gene Lee is a WSU alumnus from Seattle. Lee plays tech funk and has performed at the previous Fusion events. Jimmy Hoffa of Seattle played at Fusion I and features ghetto tech. Minus, a WSU student, plays trance.
The jungle room hosts three Seattle DJs and two local DJs. Slanttooth and Demo of Seattle highlight jungle, drum and bass. Space DJ from Seattle is teaming up with Special-T a WSU student for jump up jungle and turntablism. The final DJ is Stitch Jones of Moscow with drum and bass.
Tickets are $8 or $10 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the CUB from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily through Friday April 26. They are also available online at Ticketswest.com and at the Beasley Performing Arts Center.
