A total of 496 students — 364 undergraduate and 132 graduate students — will graduate this year, bringing the total number of WSU Vancouver alumni to nearly 3,500.

About 325 students are expected to participate in this year’s ceremony, moved from its past location in the campus plaza to the campus lawn in front of the outdoor amphitheater. A new feature this year is a live Webcast by the student radio station, CougRF, at www.cougrf.com.

Dengerink also will present four awards, including the Students’ Award for Teaching Excellence, Dean’s Award for Student Achievement, Dean’s Award for Service to WSU Vancouver and WSU Vancouver Research Excellence Award.

The computer science program graduates its first class. Nine students will receive their bachelor of arts in computer science this year.

Nearly 4,000 are expected to attend the ceremony. Free shuttle service by C-Tran will be provided from the Salmon Creek Park and Ride from 11:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m. before and after the ceremony. No shuttle service is provided during the ceremony. All campus parking is free.
