High School Students, Families Due for WSU Preview

PULLMAN, Wash. — More than 800 high school students and their parents
who are looking at colleges and universities will be on the Washington State
University campus April 1 to get a taste of what it is like to be a Cougar.

“WSU Preview” begins at 8:30 a.m. in Beasley Coliseum with check-in and a
department fair featuring more than 50 WSU academic units and organizations.

Participants will be able to sample college classes; visit residence halls,
sororities and fraternities; and tour the campus. Many volunteer faculty
members will be making short classroom presentations for the prospective
students, explained Mariah Maki, event coordinator.

The day’s schedule also includes a lunch in one of the university dining
centers and a slide show about WSU students and their lives at the university.

There is a fee of $10 for the daylong event that includes lunch.

For registration materials, call the admissions office, 888/GO-TO-WSU. For
information about overnight accommodations, call the Pullman Chamber of
Commerce, 800/ENJOY-IT.
