WSU Presidential Finalist to be Available by Satellite, WHETS

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s leading finalist for the
position of president, V. Lane Rawlins, will be available to members of the
media at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8. The session will take place on the Pullman
campus in the Food Science Health and Nutrition Building, Room T-101.

Rawlins’ session will also be available in Washington Higher Education
Telecommunication System classrooms at WSU branch campuses and a
variety of other locations. This is an interactive system that allows for
questions and answers with real-time video.

Reporters may also cover the session at a number of WSU’s satellite receiving
sites located at cooperative extension offices around Washington.
Broadcasters who wish to access the satellite transmission should call for
coordinates.

Questions from reporters at remote locations may be phoned in or sent via fax.
The number for phone questions is 800/390-7551. The number for fax questions
is 800/803-5998.

WHETS and satellite facilities are also being used to cover most other portions
of Rawlins’ visit. WSU employees and students around the state will be able to
interact with the candidate during several public forums on Tuesday.
Reporters are welcome to attend any of the public sessions.
