Fourth Candidate for WSU Vice Provost of Enrollment Management Here

PULLMAN, Wash. — The fourth candidate for vice provost for enrollment management at
Washington State University, James L. Maraviglia, will visit for interviews May 24-25, according
to the Provost’s Office.
An open session with interested university groups and the WSU community is set for 2:10
p.m. on May 25 at Murrow Communictions Center, Room 53 and will be available at the branch
campuses via WHETS.
Maraviglia is executive director of admissions and recruitment, California Polytechnic State
University, San Luis Obispo.
The other three candidates, their interview dates and the time of the open session in Murrow
53 are:
— John E. Beacon, current dean of enrollment management at the University of Maine,
Orono, May 5-6. His open session starts at 2:45 p.m. May 5.
— Thomas Canepa, assistant provost for enrollment services, Northern Arizona University,
Flagstaff, May 12-13. His open session starts at 2:45 p.m. May 12.
— Don Kajcienski, associate vice president for enrollment services, California State
University, San Bernardino, May 18-19. His open session starts at 4 p.m. May 18.
The person hired for the position will have oversight for the offices of Admissions,
Registrar, and Financial Aid and Scholarships. The vice provost will work with deans in setting
enrollment goals for each area of WSU and developing processes to achieve those goals.
