WSU Police Continue Investigation of Counterfeit Bills

PULLMAN, Wash. — On April 20, WSU Police initiated an investigation concerning the use
of counterfeit bills at a local convenience store. Three counterfeit twenty dollar bills were used
sometime between April 15-18.
On April 22, four counterfeit twenty dollar bills were deposited at the Washington State
Employees Credit Union, CUB branch.
Today, university and Pullman police officers executed a search warrant at 444 NW Parr
Street in Pullman. Police searched the apartment and recovered items for later examination. The
apartment tenants are cooperating with the police investigation. No arrests were made.
These incidents will continue to be investigated by WSU Police with the assistance of the
U.S. Secret Service.
Local merchants and businesses should report any suspicious currency to their local police.
