Fifth Educational Choral Festival on Oct. 24

PULLMAN, Wash. — Twenty-three choirs from Washington and Idaho high schools and middle schools will participate in the fifth Educational Choral Festival, sponsored by the School of Music and Theartre Arts at Washington State University.
The festival, set for 8 a.m-5 p.m. Oct 24, offers each choir the opportunity to perform for and work with five regional musical clinicians including WSU’s faculty members Roger Kelley and Lori Wiest.
The festival will conclude with the top four school choirs performing in a 7 p.m. program in WSU’s Bryan Hall Auditorium. The festival is open to the public without charge.
The following schools are participating in the festival: Cheney High School, Redmond’s Overlake School, Lewiston (ID) High School, Medical Lake High School, Othello High School, Pullman High School, Post Falls (ID) High School, Auburn High School, Tacoma’s Wilson High School, Renton’s Lindbergh High School and Lynden High School. Schools from Spokane include Central Valley, Mead, North Central, West Valley, Lewis and Clark and Shadle Park high schools, and Salk and Centennial middle schools.
