PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University will announce Friday a $1.5 million gift establishing The Rocky Crate D.V.M. & Foundation for North American Wild Sheep Endowed Chair In Wild Sheep Disease Research in the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine. It is the largest individual gift received by the college.

Comments about the program will be made by WSU President Sam Smith; Dr. Rocky Crate, donor and 1969 WSU veterinary alumnus; Dr. Terry McElwain, interim dean, WSU College of Veterinary Medicine; and Dr. Bill Foreyt, professor of veterinary parasitology and world-renowned wild sheep disease researcher.
