RICHLAND, Wash. – A Washington State University nursing instructor says the recent announcement from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration allowing folic acid to be fortified in corn-masa flour may help reduce the number of infants born without brains.
SPOKANE, Wash. – Traumatic brain injuries (TBI) in children are costly to individuals and society. A new study shows that, though moderate and severe TBI cost more for the individuals involved, there are so many more cases of mild TBI, such as concussions, that their cost to the general population is much higher.
RICHLAND, Wash. – Representatives from Washington State University Tri-Cities and Kadlec Regional Medical Center today announced a landmark $18 million gift to support the WSU Tri-Cities College of Nursing. It is the largest single gift in WSU Tri-Cities history.
