PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University construction management students won first place in the Associated Schools of Construction student competition for the second year in a row.

Cougar women end drought in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Washington State women’s basketball team rode an outstanding shooting performance to its first road victory over Arizona in more than 10 years, knocking off the Wildcats 67-54 Saturday at McKale Center. The win improved the Cougars’ record to 5-22 overall and 2-14 in the Pacific-10 Conference. The Wildcats dropped to 9-18 this season and 3-13 in the Pac-10.

Men’s basketball team defeats Oregon

PULLMAN – The WSU Men’s Basketball team defeated Oregon on Sunday, 69-60. WSU had not beat Oregon since 2001.

Oregon had the lead for the majority of the game, leading 34-30 at the half.

During the second half Oregon shot only 36 percent compared to WSU’s 52 percent.

The Cougars held Oregon 21 points below its season average and to 44 percent shooting.

Cougars beat No. 25 Stanford
February 9, 2007

The Washington State Cougars defeated No. 25 Stanford on Thursday evening, 58-45. For the first time since the 1993-94 season, the Cougars reached 20 wins. After a 22-20 halftime lead, the Cougars pushed the lead up to 30-21 and then continued to take the victory. WSU held Stanford to 45 points, a season low for the team.Derrick Low and Kyle Weaver led Cougar scoring with 12 points each. Ivory Clark had 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Robbie Cowgill contributed another 10 points.The Cougars next home game will be against California, with tip off time at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10. » More …
