Sept. 26, 27: Flute professor featured with area symphony

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University flutist Ann Marie Yasinitsky will be featured soloist in the Nielsen “Flute Concerto” with the Washington Idaho Symphony at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Jones Theatre in Daggy Hall at WSU and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, at the Clarkston High School auditorium.

Jazz trumpeter receives international soloist award

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University trumpeter Brian Ploeger won an international Graduate College Soloist Award from the jazz journal DownBeat magazine. He is a graduate teaching assistant and master’s candidate in the School of Music.
