Regents approve project to renovate Fulmer Hall

SEATTLE — The Washington State University Board of Regents approved a $1.225 million renovation project for Fulmer Hall in Pullman at its meeting Jan. 23 at the offices of WSU West.The project calls for the complete exterior cleaning and weather sealing of the building. Windows, downspouts, gutters and flashing will be replaced. The project, which will be funded through the Minor Capital Renewal Fund in the budget, will be done this summer.The regents also approved the creation of a WSU Real Estate Foundation, similar to foundations that have been created by other public universities. Foundation moves downtown

The Washington State University Foundation has moved into the Town Centre building in downtown Pullman to occupy the second and third floors of the three-story brick building on the southwest corner of Main and Kamiaken streets. The remaining space is occupied by Sam Dial Jewelers, Quizno’s Subs and the Moscow-Pullman Daily News.”Washington State University and the Pullman community have been partners for more than 100 years,” said WSU President V. Foundation names new president

Richard L. Frisch, interim president of the University of Hawaii Foundation, has been named the new president of the Washington State University Foundation and vice president of development, effective June 1.“Richard Frisch clearly exceeds our expectations for this position,” said Barbara Couture, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and chair of the search committee. “He brings a wealth of development and leadership experience at major research universities and private foundations to his new role at WSU.
