Hawkins to Join WSU’s Public Radio Network

A leader in public radio circles has accepted an offer to become Program Director of Washington State University’s Northwest Public Radio, a network of 12 stations serving listeners in Washington, Idaho, Oregon and British Columbia.Mary Hawkins, the head of an arts organization in Sandpoint, Idaho until the end of July, will begin Aug. 15. She brings a wealth of experience to Northwest Public Radio, including serving as program director for Spokane Public Radio from 1980 to 1990. WSU director named to CASE Board of Trustees

Cassie McVeety, director of Campus Advancement at Washington State University Vancouver, has been elected to serve a three-year term as the District VIII trustee to the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s International Board of Trustees.McVeety has served as a CASE volunteer for 13 years and a member of the District VIII board since 1989. Of her 17 years in advancement, 10 have been at WSU Vancouver, where she oversees the Office of Campus Advancement, including external relations, fund raising, community relations, media relations, alumni relations and communications and events.
