Kasee Hildenbrand, a Washington State University athletic training faculty member, has received a distinguished fellowship from the National Academies of Practice (NAP).

“Earning this recognition continues to grow the inclusion of athletic training with other healthcare professions and allows me to connect with others who are also passionate about collaboration and how it leads to better patient outcomes,” said Hildenbrand, who is also an associate professor in the College of Education.

The NAP is a non-profit organization founded in 1981 to advise governmental bodies on the affordability, accessibility, and quality of their respective healthcare systems. Practitioners and scholars are elected to the organization by their peers.

“The honor of being nominated and then selected for such distinguished fellowship appointments demonstrates how well respected Dr. Hildenbrand is in the healthcare field,” Kinesiology and Educational Psychology Department Chair Kira Carbonneau said. “Her national service brings the voice of athletic trainers to this interdisciplinary field of professionals and brings positive attention to the WSU athletic training program.”
