PULLMAN, Wash. — Football will be the prime focus this weekend as Washington State University prepares to line up against the Colorado Buffaloes at Qwest Field in Seattle this Saturday, Sept. 11. But the Cougar’s west-side season-opener also will feature a variety of activities on both Friday and Saturday intended to showcase the university’s achievements and bring together Cougar alumni and friends.
Friday (Sept. 10) events include a WSU Board of Regents’ meeting, a “power breakfast” with local business leaders featuring Kerry Killinger, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Seattle-based Washington Mutual, the Bon-Macy’s Second Annual Future Cougars of Color Diversity Scholarship Luncheon, and a Cougar Spirit Rally downtown
On Saturday, three-hours of pre-game activities will precede the 12:30 p.m. football game which will be followed at 7:05 p.m. by Cougar Night at Safeco Field as the Seattle Mariners take on the Boston Red Sox.
