Cougs in Pac-10 playoff; pumped for Stanford rematch!

With a 70-58 win on Saturday against California, the Washington State men’s basketball game earned a No. 8 seed in the 2004 Pacific Life Pac-10 tournament. The Cougars will face No. 1 seed Stanford in the first round of the tournament at 12:20 p.m. on Thursday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The game will be broadcast via ESPN, and locally on the radio via 920 KXLY-AM.

WSU lost to the Cardinals 63-61 last Thursday, March 4, when Stanford shot put an off-balance 25-foot desperation shot at the buzzer.

This is the first time the Cougars have qualified for the tournament in 14 years. But this time, the Cougs know they can do it, if they play with intensity wire to wire.
