Solstice Wind Quintet Concert Scheduled for Oct. 4

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Solstice Wind Quintet’s first concert of the school year at Washington State University is set for 8 p.m. Oct. 4 in Kimbrough Concert Hall.

The free concert will include a performance of Ludwig Thuille’s “Sextet for Piano and Wind Quintet, Op. 6,” featuring guest pianist Gerald Berthiaume, as well as Heitor Villa-Lobos’ “Quintet in the Form of a Choros.”

Quintet members are: Ann Yasinitsky, flute; Gary Plowman, oboe; James Schoepflin, clarinet; Susan Hess, bassoon; and Roger Logan, horn.
