UREC offers self defense and safety course

PULLMAN  – Join the University Recreation staff for a self defense and personal safety course that utilizes the RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) methods on June 21 and June 22.
 
Trained professionals will help you decrease the likelihood of becoming a victim of assault.
 
This personal safety course will teach the basics of self defense from nationally certified RAD safety instructors.
 
Participants will learn how to avoid and handle potentially harmful situations as well as reduce risk for themselves and the community. 
 
Multiple offerings are available for faculty, staff, students and community members.
 
Participants may be eligible to receive a grant to cover registration costs and applications are available online.
 
The cost of the course is $40 for SRC members, $55 for non-members and registration closes June 16.
