Community members and law enforcement personnel from across the Pacific Northwest are expected to gather Friday, Nov. 6, at Beasley Coliseum to honor and pay final respects to Whitman County Sheriff Brett Myers.

The public memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Organizers anticipate a large turnout in recognition of Myers’ decades of service to law enforcement and the Palouse region.

With significant traffic congestion expected around Beasley Coliseum, Washington State University Police have requested mutual aid support from local law enforcement agencies to help with safety. Pullman campus faculty, staff and students are encouraged to plan accordingly.

University officials are thanking the public in advance for their patience, understanding, and support as the community comes together to remember Sheriff Myers.
