The Washington State University Teaching Academy has opened online applications system-wide for three 2025 awards in support of great teaching and learning.

“The March 21 deadline gives teachers at every campus time to evaluate the requirements and submit materials to be considered,” said Nicholas Cerruti, member and grants and awards committee chair. The new recipients will be celebrated at an awards ceremony April 22.

Details to apply for the following awards are online:

A fourth academic award, the Teaching Conference Registration Award, was presented in the fall to two faculty to attend a conference, meeting, or workshop that directly enhances the applicant’s classroom teaching and/or scholarship of teaching.

WSU Teaching Academy members are educators across WSU who share goals to promote a university culture that values, supports, and rewards excellence in teaching and the scholarship of teaching. In addition to annual awards, the organization has a book club where teachers delve into a common book, discuss topics from it, and learn together. The academy also hosts each year a TEACHxWSU event focused on a special topic of interest and use to faculty and teaching graduate students. A new members drive will be held this spring.
