Normal operations resume at WSU Vancouver campus following winter storms

After a week of severe winter storms impacted operations on regions surrounding WSU Vancouver, today marked a return to normalcy for the campus.

Freezing rain and gusting winds in southwest Washington brought down power lines and caused perilous travel conditions throughout last week. Normal operations on the WSU Vancouver campus were suspended Tuesday through Friday as a result.

WSU’s campuses in Pullman, Spokane, and Tri-Cities also suspended normal operations on several occasions last week due to wintry conditions.

After withstanding the week’s icy onslaught, WSU Vancouver was able to host a record-number of prospective students at a Preview Day event Saturday.

In the event campuses across the WSU system alter normal operations due to inclement weather, Human Resource Services has an informational page available on its website.
