Design funding for WSU Vancouver Life Sciences Building approved

A supplemental capital budget signed earlier this morning by Gov. Jay Inslee advances a key project for WSU Vancouver.

The WSU Vancouver Life Sciences Building will be funded for design under the capital budget approved by the legislature and signed by Inslee April 3. WSU requested $4 million to design the project.

Meanwhile, WSU’s request to fund a new Soil Health Initiative was among more than 100 vetoed items in the operating budget, as Inslee looks to reduce state obligations in the wake of COVID‑19.
