WSU Schnitzer museum closes through end of spring semester

PULLMAN, Wash.— The Washington State University Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art is temporarily closed to the public until the end of spring semester in May. This decision is part of WSU’s ongoing response to the COVID-19 public health emergency and in accordance with Washington Gov. Jay Inslee’s temporary statewide shutdown of public facilities and recreational centers, including museums.

With interim Provost Bryan Slinker’s approval, all public events taking place at the museum through the end of the semester have been canceled.

The university continues to monitor the situation on a daily basis and any changes or updates to museum operations will be posted to the museum’s website and on social media (@WSUArtMuseum).

WSU has established a COVID-19 website that is regularly updated with information about the university system’s response to the public health emergency. It will serve as the primary source of official information for the WSU system.
