Faculty and staff statewide are encouraged to register this week to attend the free May 7 symposium focused on the future of the nation’s land‑grant universities.

The symposium, which will take place on the WSU Pullman campus and be livestreamed systemwide, will feature Stephen Gavazzi, coauthor of “Land‑Grant Universities for the Future.” Gavazzi will deliver the keynote address and lead a series of dialogues focused on the need for land‑grants to evolve to maintain their relevancy and value to the public.

The symposium will set the stage for discussions that lead to the creation of WSU’s first system-focused strategic plan in the coming months.

Registration deadline is April 30.
