One-time open enrollment opportunity for Optional LTD is ending

You’re almost out of time to take advantage of the one-time open enrollment opportunity for optional long term disability insurance. This opportunity ends March 31, 2019, which is a Sunday, so forms should be submitted by the close of business on Friday, March 29.

If you choose to enroll in Optional LTD or reduce your waiting period without providing evidence of insurability (proof of good health), complete the LTD Open Enrollment form, signing, dating and returning to Human Resource Services – Benefits by fax at 509-335-1259, or delivered to your campus’ HRS office.  All changes made during March 2019 will be effective May 1, 2019.  If someone had previously applied and been denied coverage, or if a pre-existing condition may have prevented you from applying previously, act now since your request for coverage will be granted.

If you have the questions, including “What is LTD Insurance?”  “Who is eligible for this coverage?”  “Why should I consider enrolling in the LTD coverage?” “What if I have a pre-existing condition?” visit the Human Resource Services Long-Term Disability Open Enrollment Post for more information. You will find Frequently Asked Questions, an LTD presentation, and an archive of all communications posted throughout the month.

Questions can be addressed to the Human Resource Service’s Benefits unit at 509-335-4521 or hrs@wsu.edu.
