Work and memories tie them to WSU

WSU is one of many stops in the careers of some employees. For others, this university and small-town Pullman will forever be home. Such is the case for a handful of faculty members who have followed in the footsteps of their parents, who also were on the faculty at WSU.

“As a kid, you can’t get away with anything in a small town,” remembers Alan McCurdy, professor and scientist with food science and human nutrition. “The whole faculty would know within three hours if someone was in trouble.”

Parent’s guide eases access to information

University Relations has created a new webpage to help WSU parents navigate through the WSU website more easily.“We were finding at times it was hard for parents to get exactly where they wanted to go,” said Barbara Petura, associate vice president of University Relations.The guide, located at www.wsu.edu/current-students/parents.html, provides parents with a compiled list of links to a variety of parent-related information.
