SEATTLE – Chip Hunter, dean of the Washington State University Carson College of Business, is inviting Pacific Northwest business leaders, WSU alumni and all those passionate about supporting business education to the college’s 7th Annual Dean’s Leadership Celebration in Seattle.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at the Four Seasons Hotel, 99 Union Street, Seattle. Registration is $175 and is available online at http://go.wsu.edu/DLC until Tuesday, Nov. 17.
The celebration is intended raise funds to support the college’s Dean’s Excellence Fund. The fund addresses the college’s highest priorities and ensures students receive transformational learning experiences. It also helps the college provide service to industry, recruit, retain and strengthen leading scholars within the college and forge partnerships that strengthen research.
An opening reception and silent auction will be followed by dinner, a program and a live auction at 6:30 p.m. A sampling of live auction items includes a pair of etched, hand-painted magnums from Leonetti Cellar and FIGGINS. Featured wine in this duo of large format bottles includes a Leonetti Cellar 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon and a FIGGINS Estate Red Wine.
Also featured are two, round-trip tickets for a week’s stay at the Hacienda Del Mar Vacation Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Located on the Sea of Cortez, this property offers a stunning beach, multiple restaurants and pools as well as a spa, and two golf courses nearby.
Another package offers a vintage wine tour in Walla Walla, Wash. The weekend tour will take three couples, along with Chef Jamie Callison, on an exploration of the L’Ecole No 41, Woodward Canyon, Doubleback, Pepper Bridge and FIGGINS wineries. The weekend begins in the Tri-Cities with a private tour led by enologist Jim Harbertson, who will showcase the new Ste. Michelle Wine Estates’ WSU Wine Science Center. The tour continues in the Walla Walla Valley where guests will lodge at the historic Marcus Whitman Hotel.
