May 6: Learn to grow easy herbs in your kitchen garden

GardenerEVERETT, Wash. – A former landscape manager at the renowned Woodinville, Wash., Herbfarm Restaurant will conduct an evening of information and storytelling about kitchen garden herbs at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Washington State University Snohomish County Extension’s Cougar Auditorium in McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE, Everett.

EagleSong Evans Gardener will spin yarns and give practical advice about growing herbs at home. Participants will get a plant for their gardens.

Gardener has over 40 years of experience in organic and sustainable gardening practices. She was director of natural beauty at Willows Lodge where she designed and implemented sustainable landscape management systems for the lodge and the Herbfarm Restaurant. She coordinates women’s community herbal education and outreach and conducts workshops, apprenticeships and gatherings at her home, RavenCroft Garden near Monroe, Wash.
