Student creations on display at Mom’s Weekend Fashion Show

FashionPULLMAN, Wash. – Beasley Coliseum transforms into a runway show at “Knockout,” the 32nd annual Mom’s Weekend Fashion Show at Washington State University. The show is 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 10, produced by students in the Department of Apparel, Merchandising, Design and Textiles.

“Knockout” showcases the creative talents of more than 30 undergraduate and graduate designers and is produced by students in the Apparel, Merchandising, Design & Textiles Program as part of an event production class.

Fashion Show 2014-Crumpton“This show highlights talents and skills that the merchandising and design students have developed during their time at WSU,” said Amy Hughes, instructor for the production class. “It’s an exciting way to showcase their achievements and creativity, while providing an entertaining event for WSU and the local community.”

“The title for this year’s show is ‘Knockout’ because the designs are strikingly attractive and impressive,” said fashion-show student Brittany Harm. “This show will surely knock anyone off their feet!”

Prize giveaways are also part of the night’s entertainment.
