Adesope reappointed to board of top education journal

PULLMAN, Wash. – Sola Adesope, associate professor of educational psychology, has been invited to serve a second term on the editorial board of the Review of Educational Research (RER), which has ranked as the No. 1 education research journal by the Social Science Citation Index for a number of years.

“It’s quite an honor and testament to his wonderful work,” said Mike Trevisan, dean of the College of Education at Washington State University. “RER is the top journal in education based on impact ratings.”

In its invitation letter, RER wrote: “The garnering of such a prestigious ranking is heavily dependent … on the scholars that serve on the editorial board and review for the journal.”

“It’s great for Sola and wonderful to have our college’s name out there in this way,” said Amy Roth McDuffie, the college’s associate dean for research and external funding.
