By Chris Heatherly, Army ROTC

PULLMAN, Wash. – ROTC senior cadet Andrew Carrosino recently completed “The 10 Toughest Days in the Army” – successfully graduating from air assault school at the Fort Benning Warrior Training Center near Columbus, Ga.

Training at Fort Benning.

The school trains U.S. Army soldiers in helicopter assault operations, sling load techniques and rappelling, culminating with a 12-mile road march.

After graduation and commissioning into the Army in May, Carrosino will attend the basic officer leaders course at the Fort Benning Maneuver Center of Excellence before beginning his career as an Armor Corps officer.

ROTC has been part of WSU since 1892. The program commissions approximately 20 Army officers per year. For more information, visit https://rotc.wsu.edu/ or contact Garry Nestler at 509-335-7394.
