March 4: Volleyball matches raise funds for national contest

volleyball-logoPULLMAN, Wash. – The women’s volleyball club sport teams will join the men’s this year in the third Battle of the Border benefit between Washington State University and University of Idaho on Friday, March 4, at Bohler Gym at WSU.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the men’s match starts at 7 with the women’s to follow. Admission costs $2 and additional donations are welcome. Proceeds will fund the teams to compete in the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation Championships in April in Louisville, Ky.

The teams recently competed at the Pacific Intercollegiate Volleyball Association League Championships. The WSU men placed second and the women third.
