New program will promote safety at WSU

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University is developing a program to build and support a shared mindset and culture of safety, according to a recent email to employees from the interim president.

The vice presidents for research and for finance and administration will lead a team that will use recommendations from a task force on campus laboratory safety created by the Association of Public Land-grant Universities (APLU). The efforts of WSU safety committees will be integrated into the program.

Some of the areas the program will cover are included in a statement from the interim president here.
