Oct. 11: WSU Greeks to hold day of service this weekend

PULLMAN, Wash.— WSU fraternities and sororities will hold the first Greek day of service of the year this Saturday, Oct. 11.

Last year, more than 2,500 WSU fraternity and sorority members completed 34,260 hours of community service, equating to nearly four years of continuous service completed by WSU Greek students alone.

This weekend, fraternity and sorority members will spend time socializing with local seniors, caring for abandoned and abused horses at Orphan Acres, socializing animals at the Humane Society of the Palouse, and constructing mountain bike trails on Moscow Mountain. These service projects are organized in partnership with the WSU Center for Civic Engagement to help WSU Greeks fulfill their mission of serving the community that gives WSU so much support.
