Zzusis student financials module going live

PULLMAN, Wash. – The student financials module, the last phase of the zzusis project, will be launched and available on July 2.

The student financials (SF) module replaces WSU’s aging Billing Receivables System (BRS), a legacy system that has been in use since approximately 1987.

Student, organization and general customer account balances will all be available within zzusis on July 2. Additionally, for the first time, student housing and dining services charges will appear on the student account.

All new charges and credits for students, organizations and general university customers will post in the zzusis SF module. This weekend, June 30-July 1, all existing open charges will be converted from BRS into SF.

BRS will still be available for query purposes, but only credits and charges from summer financial aid disbursements and summer tuition adjustments will post. These will then be migrated nightly to SF, until all summer activity is complete.

The university’s e-commerce page, www.wsu.edu/payment, and the housing contract site, will be unavailable from 4 p.m. Friday, June 29, until the morning of Monday, July 2. This is to allow for conversion and migration processes to occur.

AIS “Balances” and accounting will remain the same. “SCBAIMS” will also remain the same. Please continue to process IRI’s as you’ve done in the past.

All current BRS authorized users were sent a navigation document for the new zzusis SF module. This information also will be available soon within zzusis. To access the zzusis training information, log in to zzusis, navigate to the main menu, then zzusis training.

The zzusis project, initiated in July 2010, encompassed replacing the aging WSU student information system. The zzusis project modules that have been implemented include the zzusis portal, academic advising, campus community, campus self-service, financial aid, admissions, student records and now student financials.
