PULLMAN, Wash. A “fun and stimulating experience” is in store for the Washington State University community and visitors during the annual Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition April 6-May 5 at the WSU Museum of Art. An opening reception will be at 6 p.m. Friday, April 6, in the museum gallery. Admission is free.
“Exposing our audience to the culmination of two or more years’ work from our graduate candidates enriches the community life by providing meaningful encounters with creativity and innovation,” said Chris Bruce, museum director.
“The world class faculty at WSU encourage the MFA candidates to become more confident and articulate in their convictions,” said museum curator Keith wells, who organized the show. The museum “confidently presents this year’s graduate thesis work in hopes that undergraduate students, first year graduate students and anyone willing to be moved by art while spending time at WSU will find it a fun and stimulating experience.”
“Our overarching goal is to create lifelong learners who can seek out divergent opinions, examine complex issues from a variety of perspectives and find meaning in the world,” Bruce said.
The museum is committed to recognizing the creative talent of its region: “This exhibition provides a wide range of styles and stimulating experiences,” Wells said.
