WSU Online helps prepare teachers for new law

PULLMAN, Wash. – By Sept. 30, 2013, half of all Head Start teachers and all Head Start education coordinators will be required to have a bachelor’s degree.
 
Washington State University faculty member Jeanie Pittman will discuss how those professionals can earn an online bachelor’s degree in human development with a certificate in early childhood development and care during the “How Does Your Garden Grow” conference.

Other conference topics will include yoga for children, dealing with grief and meeting the needs of disabled children. The keynote speaker will be Gail Nelson, who will discuss “The Storytelling and Writing Connection.”
