PULLMAN – The prescription says exercise, but what kind?

When WSU students/future pharmacists tell patients with osteoporosis to exercise, at least the students will know what kind of exercise will help. That was the plan behind a recent lesson in the Applied Pharmacy Laboratory in Pullman for second-year pharmacy students.
While one group followed the movements of an appropriate exercise video, another practiced measuring bone density with an osteoanalyzer, and a third group discussed the types of over-the-counter supplements and prescription medications that treat osteoporosis.
