30 Days of Pullman designed to draw WSU students downtown

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University students will enjoy discounts and special offers at a different business each day during “30 Days of Pullman” Sept. 1-30.

The promotion is sponsored by the Pullman Chamber of Commerce and Associated Students of Washington State University, which want to solidify students’ relationship with local businesses, said Luis Cuevas, ASWSU director of community outreach. The goal of holding 30 Days in Pullman at the beginning of fall semester is to draw new students downtown to businesses they may not know about, he said.

Beginning Aug. 30, ASWSU staff will hand out calendars in the CUB that show which promotion is happening on which day. Students must present their Cougar Cards at each business to receive its discount or offer.

New businesses have been added since 30 Days of Pullman was last held in February, and popular businesses like Crimson & Gray have been allotted two promotional days. ASWSU plans to sponsor another 30 Days of Pullman in February.
