PULLMAN, Wash. – A new app developed at Washington State University that allows personalized, timely communication with prospective students recently won the Innovation Award at the EMAS Pro National Conference of university enrollment leaders.

The custom email builder application was developed by WSU’s enrollment information technology unit in response to a request from WSU admissions for a better way to reach prospective students. Admissions, enrollment, student financial aid and new student programs are using the app to communicate more frequently and persuasively with these students.

Email builder allows nontechnical WSU staff to send targeted, powerful messages frequently and easily. The customizable content and graphics are mobile friendly.

Enrollment management experts at the national conference applauded the email builder, recognizing the programming savvy, design skills and student service focus embodied in WSU’s custom app.
