Blog offers insights into new lab, sustainability at WSU

Leed-logo-90PULLMAN, Wash. – A building going up at Washington State University is a practical example of the academic disciplines it will contain.

environmental-tech-lab-500Anticipated to be the first LEED gold certified laboratory on the Pullman campus, the environmental technology building under construction is a showcase of sustainable, efficient practices in its construction as it will be in its operations once completed.

A blog by University Communications, Going Up!, follows the team building the PACCAR Environmental Technology Building as materials, systems and practices are incorporated to reduce environmental impact.

When completed, the lab will be a hub for multiple interdisciplinary research programs as well as education in renewable materials, sustainable design, water quality and atmospheric research.
