The Seattle Times – Wildfire season starts on April 15, the same day Bob Drewel begins a one-year term as interim chancellor of the coming Washington State University North Puget Sound at Everett.

Huffington PostThe experiment shows that arid ecosystems “are a major sink for atmospheric carbon dioxide,” Washington State University professor R. Dave Evans, the study’s lead author, said in a news release. “As CO2 levels go up, they’ll increase their uptake of CO2 from the atmosphere. They’ll help take up some of that excess CO2 going into the atmosphere. They can’t take it all up, but they’ll help.
