Faculty and staff earn honors from newest college

PULLMAN, Wash. – The College of Arts and Sciences held its inaugural Appreciation and Recognition Social this week to honor faculty and staff for their service to the educational, scholarly and outreach mission of the college and university.
 
Fourteen individuals received awards and certificates. Four graduate students also were recognized for their achievements. Outstanding undergraduate seniors will be honored at a separate event on May 3.

The Washington State University College of Arts and Sciences was formed in July 2012 by bringing together the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Sciences. It is the largest academic unit in the WSU system and offers degree programs from art history to zoology. The college provides nearly 60 percent of all undergraduate student credit hours and approximately 80 percent of all freshman student credit hours.
