David Warner
PULLMAN, Wash. – Faculty member David Warner, 41, is in critical condition in intensive care in a Spokane hospital after he was found unconscious in the parking lot of Adams Mall in Pullman early Saturday. He suffered head injuries in an assault after he apparently tried to break up an argument.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Pullman Police at 509-334-0802.

A vigil for Warner will meet at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Glenn Terrell mall on the Washington State University campus. After 20 minutes of reflection and prayer, the group will walk in silence along Library, Thatuna, Colorado, Opal and Campus streets to the Community Congregational United Church of Christ, where there will be a potluck.

Food may be dropped off at the church beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday. Vigil participants are asked to bring candles to carry.
