The Pumpkins are Here!!

People propel pumpkins from portals and produce prodigious pulverized pulp!!

Yes! Get ready for the Eighth Annual Pumpkin Drop coming your way this Saturday at 11 a.m. Meet in the Commons area between Webster and Institute for Shock Physics and watch famous scientists as we re-enact Galileo’s famous Tower of Pisa Experiment.

Of course, we all know that Galileo’s Law of Falling Bodies proved that two unequal masses dropped at the same time land at the same time, because all bodies fall at the same rate. This year, in our never-ending search for extreme science, we will add some liquid nitrogen dipped pumpkins, different varieties of squash, candy for the kids, T-shirts for sale, and will give away a chance to drop a pumpkin!! And, after the event, all are welcome to pick up pumpkin pieces for soups or pies!!
