Dan Rather receives Lifetime Achievement Award

PULLMAN, Wash. – Veteran television newsman Dan Rather was honored Sept. 27 with the 2012 Edward R. Murrow Award for Lifetime Achievement by Washington State University and The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication.

Rather, who came to campus early in the day, spoke with WSU communication students, faculty and the media. During the evening at the 38th Murrow Symposium, Rather accepted his award, joining the ranks of past Murrow winners including:
