WSU men’s at Pac-12 tournament
WSU got its first Pac-12 win over Oregon State, defeating the Beavers 81-76, Saturday, Dec. 31 at Spokane Arena in a ‘home’ game in Spokane. Freshman DaVonté Lacy had a career second-best 18 points in the game, while Brock Motum finished with 26 points and eight rebounds and Reggie Moore dished out nine assists. In the second meeting Thursday, Feb. 9, Moore recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 assists as five Cougars scored in double figures in the 83-73 victory.
The winner of the game between the Cougars and Beavers will face No. 1 seeded Washington (21-9, 14-4), at 12:10 p.m. Thursday, March 9. The rest of WSU’s side of the bracket includes No. 5 UCLA taking on No. 12 USC Wednesday and that winner facing No. 4 Arizona Thursday.
With the additions of Colorado and Utah, the tournament has expanded from nine games to 11 games this year. First and second-round games are set for 12:10 p.m., 2:40 p.m., 6:10 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7 and Thursday, March. 8.
Semifinal action Friday, March 9 includes both the Pac-12 men and women as the women hit the court at 12:10 p.m. and 2:40 p.m., followed by the men at 6:10 p.m. and 8:40 p.m.
The Pac-12 Championship doubleheader, Saturday, March 10, concludes the tournament with the women tipping at 11:30 a.m., followed by the men at 3:10 p.m.

The Washington State University women’s basketball team will face Oregon State University in the opening round of the Pacific Life Pac-12 Tournament, 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.
The Cougars (11-19, 5-13 Pac-12) are the No. 11 seed while the Beavers (18-11, 9-9 Pac-12) enter the tournament as the No. 6 seed. The winner advances to face No. 3 USC, 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
WSU has won three of the last four meetings against Oregon State but split its two meetings this season, posting a 61-54 double overtime victory in Corvallis (Dec. 31) and dropping a 51-39 decision in Pullman (Feb. 9).
The Beavers have won all three previous meetings against the Cougars in conference tournaments.
