PULLMAN, Wash. – On Valentine’s Day, the Washington State University community is invited to discuss the other V-Day, a day of awareness for violence against women and girls, at 5-7 p.m. in CUB L45.
The reflection time is sponsored by the WSU Center for Civic Engagement. Students can register for community service reflection time at http://cce.wsu.edu/reflections.
According to the Domestic Violence Resource Center, one in four women in the U.S. experiences some form of domestic violence in her lifetime. The WSU discussion will address the cycle of violence, how to help a victim of abuse and misconceptions associated with domestic violence.
