Videoconference: Procurement I – Purchasing and Purchasing Card – Sept. 21

This training, taking place from 1:30-4:00 p.m. is offered via videoconference for those not on the Pullman campus, is broken into two parts.
 
Part 1: Purchasing: So many purchases, so many methods. This course briefly introduces WSU purchasing policy, examine each method of available for delegated and centralized purchases, and then cover solutions to recurring procurement issues. Ten tips for purchasing will round out the first area of this presentation. Part
 
2: Purchasing Card: The Purchasing Card is the preferred method of payment for goods and services costing less than $3000. The second part of the presentation refreshes your knowledge of the basics of the program and benefits of PCard purchasing. It also introduces new tools and resources for PCard reconcilers and approving officials.
 
Methods of transitioning blanket order activity and department order activity to purchasing card will be discussed. New and experienced program participants will both take away practical knowledge.
